2017-2018 Jerome Foundation Emerging Printmaker at Highpoint Center for Printmaking
An Unbuilt Place
This work was created over a period of nine months as an artist in residence through the Jerome Foundation at Highpoint in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I focused on creating images that contemplate human influence on the geological record, and whether natural and artificial changes in the environment are becoming indistinguishable from one another. The prints emphasize physical manipulation of surfaces using collagraph plates, stencils, embossment, relief, and intaglio.
